Welcome!
This blog is about a German children's book called "Gans Einfach", which literally translates to "Goose Easy" in English. In German, the word "Gans" means "Goose". The word "Ganz" means "Very". "Gans" and "Ganz" are pronounced the same, so the title is actually a play on words. Annette, who wrote the book, decided to call it "Gans Einfach" because this book is about geese.
There are a few more people who made the book: Neil and Marieke did the illustrations. Alexa took pictures of them and Bastian made them perfect for printing. Then, Klaus, who owns a publishing house called BDS said yes, he would print the book. And now the books are ready to be sold in German bookstores and the world wide web! You can order it on Amazon, for example!
And this is what it "Gans Einfach" is about:
Goose mum Greta is concerned - her little children Gesa and Gero are in danger. At the beautiful lake where the goose family is living, a gang of teenage geese scare all the children. One day, Gero gets bitten in the butt! It's time to take action! Greta talks to super swimmer cousin Gabriel and works out the problem.
How? Read it in our book! Well. If you speak German, that is. If you don't: we are planning to do an English version of "Gans Einfach" soon! Until then, please leave a comment on all the photos and images we upload - we'd love to hear your thoughts!
See you!
